This piece is the latest design by Kimberly Andrews for Tumbleweed Tees. It is “a nod to scientific illustrations of the past” and features NZ’s most celebrated invertebrates, the Weta.
This group of flightless insects have evolved a special place in our hearts as well as our ecosystems. Seen here from top to bottom are examples of tusked, giant, tree, ground, and cave weta.
This will be the only print of this design in A3 size – so it is a unique piece created especially for our art event.
