About The Grand Auction Evening

Enjoy a fantastic evening of food, drink, art and more at our Grand Auction Evening on Saturday, 27th October 2018 in The Spine at Pātaka Art + Museum. 

Tickets are $40.00 each and include canapes from Sarah Searancke Catering, craft beer from Tinker Tailor, Cuvee from Matahiwi Wines, dessert from Arobake and more.

Plus you can enjoy music by Liam Fury and mingle with wonderful artists and special guests like Mayor Mike Tana, Chris Bishop and Kris Fa’afoi.

You also have the truly unique opportunity to not only enjoy a wonderful evening but to take part in the live auction event - where you can buy one of 15 special pieces of art and change babies' lives at the same time.

Harcourts Mana is providing their best auctioneer to put these works under the hammer.

All ticket holders will get to enjoy a selection of beautiful canapes at the start of the evening - provided by Sarah Searancke Catering.

The canape menu features:

  • Rare roasted beef sirloin, kumara rosti, caramelised onion 

  • Lamb roulade, spinach, haloumi, pecan, chilli jam 

  • Mini Tuscan coated chicken slider, creamy lemon caperslaw 

  • Pea feta fritter, slow roast cherry tomato, micro basil 

  • Crispy carrot parsnip rosti, sour cream, red pepper reduction 

  • Bittersweet chocolate torte, crushed mandarin wafer

Auction Evening Timetable

6.30 pm to 7.30 pm - Doors open and guests with will enjoy wonderful food, drink and music, and will be able to meet a number of the artists.

7.30 pm to 9.00 pm - Bidding takes place on selected artworks.  

 9.00 to 9.30 pm  - Guests mingle and enjoy dessert until the event closes at 9.30 pm. 

Exhibition & Sale

All works donated by artists will be on display from 12 to 28 October 2018 at the Bottle Creek Gallery at Pātaka Art + Museum from 12 to 28 October.

The Exhibition is open daily and entry is FREE.  

You can view the artworks that will be for sale at the auction event during this exhibition and sale.

You can also view and buy artworks from many other artists during the exhibition and sale.

Bids In Advance

If you are unable to attend the Grand Auction Evening you will be able to leave your bid at the office at Pataka from 12 to 27 October.

Funds Raised

Because of the support of major sponsor Younity all proceeds from tickets sold and artworks sold at this event will go to the Little Sprouts Charitable Trust.

This is also possible because of the support of the team at Pataka and every artist who has created and donated a work for this event.
